DESCRIPTION:  \nGeneral Information \n  \nAgones SFC will once again be organising the Agones Duathlon 2026. \nThe race is supported by the Safi and Kirkop Local Council \nThe Duathlon is a draft legal multi-sport event and is endorsed by the MTF and valid for the TOYT point system. \nThe race consists of a 4km run (2 loops)\, 17km bike (8 loops) and 2km run (1 loop) \nThe senior race will start at 7.30am sharp with a 1hr 30mins time limit to finish the event. \nBike check will be at 6.30am. \nRace briefing will be held at 7.15am. Females and Males will start together \nThere will be a water station near the Bike / Run Transition. In order to help the organizers and to make sure we leave the place clean we encourage everyone to throw the bottles in the bins which will be placed along the route. Failing to do so may incur into time penalty. \nIn the eventuality of bad weather\, the race director will make the necessary decisions 15 minutes prior to the race start and the race will be moved to a more appropriate date. DESCRIPTION:Malta Triathlon Challenge 2026 \nIt’s time to warm up for the triathlon season!\nWinter training can be tough\, so what better motivation than a fun challenge to keep you moving? \nThe Malta Triathlon Challenge is a virtual long-distance triathlon event\, taking place throughout the month of February 2026. \nHow It Works \nThe rules are simple: \n\nChoose your challenge distance (Full or Half).\nComplete the selected distance within 7 days.\nYou may complete the distance in one session or split it into multiple workouts.\nParticipants may also form relay teams and complete the challenge together.\n\nTo make the event accessible to everyone\, athletes may take part in: \n\nThe FULL Challenge\nThe HALF Challenge\nOne single discipline only (Swim\, Bike\, or Run)\n\nChallenge Distances \nFull Distance (or Individual Disciplines) \n\nSwim: 3.8 km\nBike: 180 km\nRun: 42.2 km\n\nHalf Distance \n\nSwim: 1.8 km\nBike: 90 km\nRun: 21.1 km\n\nAwards \n\nAthletes who complete the Challenge will receive an official Finisher Medal.\nThose completing only one discipline will receive a medal featuring that discipline.\nAthletes who complete the Full Distance Challenge in one day will receive a special Malta Triathlon Challenge T-shirt.\n\nRules & Submission Guidelines \n\nThe disciplines are swimming\, cycling\, and running. DESCRIPTION:Eurosport Adidas ‘Terrex’ Trail Running League 2026 – Race 1 – Wied Qirda\n\n\nTime to hit the trails for the 13th Edition of the Trail Running League. The first race of the 2024 trail running league which is composed of 5 races will be held on Sunday 12th January at Wied Qirda (Haz Zebbug). \nThe race\, which is approx 6km long\, is supported by EUROSPORT and powered by Adidas Terrex.\nWied Qirda Trail\, is one of the nicest trail running experiences you can get on our island. The short distance makes this event particularly attractive for rookie runners\, as well as more experienced trail runners who want to challenge each other on home soil! \nSince the first edition of the trail running league\, this sport has become more and more popular on our island and more and more people are having a go at it \nRace Starts at 8.00am. \nAll events timed by ARRTS timing system. \nNOTE: Numbers need to be kept for the whole series. DESCRIPTION:The Victoria lines 19k (V19K) is the last race of a series of 5 trail running events organized by Agones Sfc during the year. The V19 race\, is approximately 19km long with a total elevation of 467 meters and is considered the queen event of the trail running in Malta.\nThe race crosses Malta from east to west\, alongside the historic fortifications of the Victoria lines. The event sponsored by Adidas ‘Terrex’\, is endorsed by ITRA (International Trail Running Association)\, supported by the Superintendent of Cultural Heritage and forms part of the European Heritage Days Activities.\n\nThe stunning views\, combined with the unbeaten track and the cultural and historical aspect of the route\, make it the most sought trail event for every trail runner in Malta and beyond. The unique race has also been attracting many foreign athletes\, who are looking at an event that showcases the best of what the Maltese Islands can offer in terms of running and beautiful scenery.\n\nThe V19\, now celebrating its 10th edition\, has been gathering momentum in the past years with numbers doubling every year. DESCRIPTION:General Information \n\nAgones Sfc will be organizing an Aquathlon.\n\nThe event\, which is endorsed by the Malta Triathlon Federation and valid for the triathlete of the year award 2024 as from this year will adopt the World Triathlon Aquathlon Format and therefore will consist of a 1km Swim followed by 5km Run\, with a time limit of 90 minutes.\n\nRace will be held on the 26th July 2025\nThe race venue will be PRETTY BAY\, Birzebbuga.\nRace Starts at 7.00am\n\nRace briefing will be held at 6.50am. Females and Males will have a separate start.\nARRTS will be timing the event. ARRTS timing chips shall be used. All those who do not have an ARRTS timing chip need to hire one on the day from race venue for €5.\n\nRun will take place on the promenade & pavements and therefore traffic free. DESCRIPTION:Info- Race Regulations\nGeneral Information\n1. This event is being organized by the Agones Sfc\, under the auspices of the Malta Cycling Federation and shall be held in accordance with the Rules & Regulations of the Malta Cycling Federation.2. This event is open to all cyclists registered and licensed with the Malta Cycling Federation as well as registered students of the cycling clubs \n3. Cyclists are to use race numbers as assigned to them by the Malta Cycling Federation and are required to use 2 back numbers and one clearly visible bike frame number. Riders of various categories may also be asked to wear a hand band with distinctive colours to help the organisers. \n4. All riders are to have their timing chip set on their bikes as instructed by the MCF. DUE TO THE TIMING SYSTEM SET UP NO PARTICIPANTS CAN BE ON THE RACE ROUTE OR CLOSE TO THE START AND FINISHING LINE UNLESS THEY ARE RACING. Riders that cross the line while they are not racing or warm up on the racecourse before their race will automatically be detected by the system and marked as NON STARTER. \n5. Conventional ‘CE’ Approved helmets are to be worn during warm-up and throughout the event. \n6. Cyclists who have finished competing in the race should refrain from cycling on the race circuit. \n7. Cyclist are NOT ALLOWED to warm up or cycle on the circuit unless they are competing. \n8. Lapped cyclists have to retire from the race and must do so immediately on being advised. Reframing from retiring may cause the race director to suspend the whole cycling team.\n9. Team vehicles shall not be allowed on the circuit although a nominated event safety car/motorcycle may be allowed on the circuit. \n10. Cyclists are not to approach the Timekeepers table for results. Each club should designate a club delegate to help on the finish line if need be. \n11. If a cyclist has a grievance or complaint\, the cyclist should advise his/her Club Delegate who should forward the grievance/complaint to the organizers through the proper channels. \n12. Cyclists must obey all instructions given by race officials or marshals and failure to obey such instructions and these regulations may result in disqualification. (Bike check in closes at 6.30am\, briefing at 6.45am) \nStart and Finish will take place at Marsascala\, Zonqor Point \nThe race is on a sprint distance with the\ndistance being 750m swim (approx.)\, 16km Bike (4 loops)\, 4km Run (2 loops.) \nIn case of rough sea the event will be changed into a duathlon with the swim being replaced by a 2km run (1 loop) \n\nFees for this event are;\nClub members €30  \nIndividual €35  \nRelay Team €45 \nKids €20 \n  \nA briefing will be held on the day of the race 15 minutes prior to the Start. \nThe triathlon is valid for the TOYT point system. \nRoute will be closed to traffic\, but farmers and residents will be able to access the route. Please make sure you DO NOT PARK along the route. Cars parked along the route WILL BE TOWED AWAY. \nThere will be on water station at the Running turn around. \nIn order to help the organisers and to make sure we leave the place clean we encourage everyone to throw the cups/bottles and papers in the bins which will be placed along the route. Failing to do so may incur into time penalty. \nHelmet and swimming cap are obligatory and athletes cannot compete with a bare chest (concessions can be made for the swim) \nTrophies will be given to the first three overall finishers (Male & Female) and 1st placed in each age group. DESCRIPTION:General Information\n\n• The Race is being organized by the Agones Sfc supported by Eurosport Malta and powered by Adidas TERREX.\n• The aim of the race is for everyone to enjoy themselves doing some outdoor activities. Winner of the various categories (Male/Male\, Female/Female\, Male/Female) will be awarded a prize. Prize will be given out during the club’s annual presentation night in November. All participants will be given a commemorative shirt and a token.\n• The race is divided into 4 sections. Trail run/Trekking (4km)\, Cycling (MTB cross-country) (8km + 8km)\, Canoeing (provided by organisers) ( 1km ) and Obstacle Course (300m). All participants are required to do all the events.\n• The winner of the event will be the team that concludes the 4 stages in the least time possible. (Transition time between Mtb and Canoeing will not be taken into consideration although a maximum of 10 minutes transition time is allowed)\n• The race will start at 6.00am\, as soon as sun rises. Starting times will be posted on Facebook. Transition and Registration area are situated behind Scout Campsite in Golden Bay. Race officials will be there from 4.00 am onwards. Be at the start at least 30 minutes before you actual starting time.\n• Each team is composed of 2 members. Every team will be notified of the starting time days prior to the race since it will not be a mass start. There will be 5 minutes between each team. Starting times will be given on a first come first served bases depending on when the application form is received.\n•Please do not ask for your finishing times or for your placings on the day. DESCRIPTION:Another year has gone by and it’s time for another presentation night. This is the night were Agones SFC presents all the awards\, of all the events that were held during the year\, as well as handing out awards to club members who have excelled in the various categories. \nIt is the yearly event were club members\, families and friends celebrate together another year of challenges and successes along with club sponsors and committee in the name of sport. \nAs a club we celebrate everyone’s achievements\, whether as individuals\, as a group or as winners of the various events we organize. \nWe relax and enjoy an eve amongst a brotherhood of athletes and friends\, who form part of the same family built on the passion for the love of sport. \nThe night where we listen to stories\, the evening when we realize what an amazing journey this year has been\, the night where we comprehend even more what Agones is all about. \nWe will be organizing the event at CARGO RESTAURANT (one of our main sponsors) at the Birgu Waterfront. \nPrice for the event is €25 for adults and €10 for kids (under 10).\nThe menu is a set menu. For this reason\, this year you will need to book and pay online via Internet Banking\, Pay Pal (agnessportsclub@gmail.com) or Revolut (99821120) through the button below by the 30th October. \nIMPORTANT NOTE: A list of prize winners will be posted on the Facebook page and in the club members group. Please note that if you or a close member of the family is not present at the event\, you are eligible to pick up your trophy another time but your price/vouchers will be included as part of the raffle which will raise funds for Agones Sfc. \nWe look forward to see you all at the 9th edition of the Agones Sfc awards night. \nNOTE : The event is open to everyone not just Agones Sfc members. \n  \n

SUMMARY:Malta Mountain Bike Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The Malta Mountain Bike Challenge\, is endorsed by the Malta Mountain Bike Association\, supported by Magri Cycles and organized with the aid of ERA\, Mellieha LC and Qrendi LC\, is the only multi-stage mountain bike race in Malta and is set to become an international event in the coming years. The event is composed of 3 stages. A time trial\, a criterium and an endurance race. \nThe event is aimed for both professional and amateur cyclists who wish to challenge themselves in a multi-stage mountain bike race along the most beautiful and enchanted trails on the island. Whether you are a novice or an Elite cyclist we guarantee you will enjoy it. \nAll riders that apply will be given a free t-shirt\, customized race number\, a pair of customized socks and a chunky customized finisher medal. \nTop 3 winners of each category will be awarded winners medals at the end of every stage. SUMMARY:BEAT THE LIFT
DESCRIPTION:  \nAn exciting new challenge brought to you by Agones Sfc. The rules are simple! Run\, walk and crawl up the ‘Barrakka Lift Tower’ staircase as fast as possible. The fastest athlete to climb up the 20 storey tower is declared the winner. \nThe challenge will be divided into 2 main categories\, ‘Free Run’ were the athlete runs up the 282 stairs without any additional weight and ‘Added Weight Run’ category\, were the athlete has to carry a normal size car tyre provided by the organizers with him/her up the 58-meter high tower.  There will also be special prizes for the different weight categories. \nAthletes who opt to take part in the different weight categories will be weighed on the day prior to the start. Athletes who do not want to be weighed on the take can take part in an open category. \nThe race will take place in a time trial format\, were an athlete leaves every minute. The starting line up will be determined according to the application entry (time and date). \nApplication can be found below. \nAll participants will go home with a participation token.
