It has been 2 weeks of events, #triathlons and #mountainbiking. The previous weekend was dedicated exclusively to mountain bikers in a great event over 3 races on 2 days, Malta Mountain Bike Challenge 2019…and we must say our members have made us proud!! Last weekend then it was all about the Garmin Malta Xcountry National Triathlon Championships 2019, where agones athletes have also shined.
First of all, a double round of applause to our great #mountainbiker Jason Vella, who finished #first in the #elite category in the mountain bike challenge and again #first as a mountain biker in his relay team last Sunday. We also had Enrico Bradamante shining twice, a #2nd in category in the mountain bike challenge and a #first in category in the tri last Sunday. 👏👏👏
Ryan Spiteri finished #third in the #elite category in the mountain bike challenge, whilst in the #sport category Dennis Dolci finished off in the great #first spot overall and Ramon Grech placed #1st in his category.
Mark Bonnici finished off in a 5th overall and placed #1st in category in the tri last sunday
In the X country sprint tri, we had another 2 female athletes taking the podium – Louise Giglio placing in a great #2nd place and Lara Fiorentino placing #3rd overall in the female section. Maureen Farrugia placed #1st in her category. 💪💪
A dominated #Agones scene!! 🎉🎉🎉
Off shore we had 5 Agonians completing the Ironman 70.3 #Gdynia in #Poland. 🏊♂️🏃♂️🚴♂️ A super well done for their great performance Sean Chippy Farrugia, Edmond Friggieri, Daren Zahra, Twanny Fenech and Elaine 'fenech! Just a bunch of great athletes!! 💪💪 We’re super proud of them! We now just wish them a lovely well deserved holiday in Poland. Another target reached! 🎯🎯
And we must not forget our runners at the Rock & Run 5km race for their great performance! And a goodluck for this evening!
